What is a Koala Weighted Blanket?

Koala is a therapeutic weighted blanket designed to be approximately 7 to 10% of your bodyweight. The Koala weighted blanket applies consistent, gentle pressure on your body (similar to a hug), which helps to lower your physiological arousal level. This pressure is scientifically proven to increase melatonin and serotonin levels (chemicals in the brain that regulate sleep and happiness) and decreases cortisol levels (aka stress) all while relaxing the central nervous system.

How heavy should my blanket be?

The Koala therapeutic weighted blanket designed to be approximately 7-13% of your body weight.

How to choose the right size?

The Koala Blanket comes with 2 size options: 48*78 inches and 60*80 inches. Both sizes have an option of 6.8kg or 9kg.

Is the Koala Blanket hot?

One side of the Koala cover is made from silky smooth 300 thread count bamboo for the warmer days and soft mink on the other side for the cooler days. Our weighted blanket is perfect for all year round.

Contraindication for using weighted blanket

Please consult your physician or doctor before using the Koala Weighted Blanket, if you have any heart problems and grade 2 diabetes.

During pregnancy

Please consult an obstetrician before using the Koala Blanket during pregnancy.

Is the blanket machine washable?

The cover is machine washable and also can be dry cleaned. Remove the cover before washing, and wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, hang your cover to dry. Do not use bleach.

We recommend only washing the weighted insert by hand in cold water. Do not tumble dry, do not dry clean. Do not soak or bleach.
Please note: Other brands state that you can wash the weighted insert but doing this can break your washing machine due to the weight.

Is the Koala weighted blanket hypoallergenic?

Yes, the Koala Blanket is hypoallergenic. We use 100% bamboo, eco-friendly cotton, non-toxic BPA Free glass beads, poly-cotton & polyester.

Is the weighted blanket for kids?

Unfortunately we do not supply weighted blanket for kids at the moment.

What is the Koala weighted blanket filled with?

The Koala blanket uses BPA-free, non-toxic glass beads.
